A new project in Gorizia!
A new project in Gorizia!
At KAMPER, we live for visions … and are constantly on the lookout for innovative projects. One of these visions that we, as investors and project developers, are now bringing to reality is particularly exciting: We are taking over an old monastery in Gorizia, Northern Italy! Karl-Heinz Kamper, partner of Johann Kamper GmbH, enthusiastically shares: “When we visited the monastery, our hearts immediately warmed, and the enormous potential became clear to us.”
This former monastery, currently still belonging to the Order of the “Poor School Sisters of Our Lady,” is located in the heart of the old town of Gorizia. The timing could not be better, as Gorizia and Nova Gorica will hold the title of “European Capital of Culture” in 2025 – a promising showcase for the future.
Our plans for the monastery are as diverse as they are impressive: We plan to revitalize it with the aim of using it in various ways – from public catering to hotel operations, and from apartments to senior residences and medical practices. A fascinating project with a total usable area of around 12,000 square meters.
Our focus is on preserving the historical structure, and we attach great importance to ensuring that the monastery chapel continues to be used. The six sisters currently living in the monastery should also be able to spend their well-deserved retirement here.
We are proud to make a significant contribution to the cultural scene of Gorizia and Nova Gorica, especially in a year when these two cities will hold the title of “European Capital of Culture.”
